大韓通運公司（KEC）贏得了在哈薩克斯坦合同從當地政府協商一個項目，建立一個戰略，以擴大其東 - 西路為140萬美元（1.54十億億韓元）。
東西走向的道路在哈薩克斯坦是新絲綢之路項目（TRACECA）連接歐洲與亞洲的一部分。阿拉木圖至霍爾果斯段是目前355公里長著兩條車道。該項目將看到路擴大到四車道和拉直，以305公里長。
該KEC參與競標形成與伊森公司，這是一個建築工程公司在韓國的財團之後。通過該項目，KEC計劃引進韓國先進的智能交通系統（ITS），從而幫助韓國ITS公司進軍中亞。
該KEC正在開展14個項目在14個國家，包括阿爾及利亞和秘魯進行兩個電流ITS項目。在阿爾及利亞，KEC是監督其東西向高速公路的附屬設施，而這是建立一個系統，以收取車輛通行費在秘魯。

The Korea Express Corporation (KEC) has won a contract in Kazakhstan from the local government to consult on a project to establish a strategy to expand its east - west road for US$1.4 million (1.54 billion won).
The east-west road in Kazakhstan is a part of a New Silk Road project (TRACECA) linking Europe with Asia. The Almaty to Khorgos section is currently 355 km long with two lanes. The project will see the road expanded to four lanes and straightened to be 305 km long.
The KEC participated in the bid after forming a consortium with Isan Corporation, which is a construction engineering company in Korea. Through the project, the KEC is planning to introduce Korea’s advanced intelligent transportation system (ITS), thereby helping Korean ITS companies advance into central Asia.
The KEC is carrying out 14 projects in 14 countries, including two current ITS projects conducted in Algeria and Peru. In Algeria, the KEC is supervising the subsidiary facilities of its east-west expressway, while it is building a system to collect tolls in Peru.
An official from the KEC said, “Even though the KEC offers a bidding price, which is more than 15 percent higher than the competitor, Egis in France, the KEC was selected as the final choice to carry out the business due to its high scores in technology. It is meaningful because the superiority of the domestic toll collection system and the domestic ITS technical skills were recognized around the world.”
