協會請了一些在專業領域部分成功的人士來分享他們的職涯發展心得,

聽了頗有收穫!! 其中一位創業成功的工程師分了一本小冊子給與會者,

標題是成功的要訣!!

GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESS

I. About Value

*Time is your most valuable possession. It is far more valuable than money.

*Remember that life is a marathon, not a sprint.

*To sleep with a clear conscience, be consistent in your thoughts and actions all day long.

*Let's celebrate our variety.

II. About Opportunities

*Some opportunities are veiled and some are obvious.

*"Tell me more," is a good way to respond to someone's offer. Then really listen.

*Never, never, never stop learning.

III. About Principals

*Stubbornly protect and defend your core values.

*Always pay your debts.

*Be vigilant to opportunities. Recognize them for what they are and act on those that will ultimately bring satisfaction to you and to the ones who care for you.

IV. About Success

*One reason for our success was that we could not tolerate sloppiness by ourselves or by anyone around us.

*The business is exchange of services or goods. Money is the vehicle for an equitable exchange. Far too often, money becomes the object of business.

*Never * family time for business.

*You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give. (by Winston Churchill)

V. About Relationships

*Encouragement is fundamental to your well being. Seek it and share it.

*One of the finest things you can do is doing something for someone without them knowing about it.

*While we may remember for a while what a person said and may remember a little longer how a person said it, we remember longest how a person made us feel.

*A life lived well inspires others.
